Program Description
Group participants (8-10) meet twice a week for a 75-minute session. Each session involves psycho-educational, experiential and processing activities to teach coping skills that anyone can accomplish. Group work uses successful evidence-based outcome methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mind body therapy and art therapy. The group leaders approach skill building from a collaborative solution-focused perspective.
Group therapy promotes more effective relational experiences at home, school, the workplace and other social settings. The group dynamic offers a safe, confidential setting to build individual and interpersonal skills that help people cope with the challenges of daily life.
The group program spans five weeks for a total of 10 sessions. To join a basic or advanced group, call 413.549.2773 to schedule an individual evaluation meeting with the co-leaders.
